Experience
o  Some experiences are indications of potential learning opportunities.
o  These experiences usually include an internal knowing; there is something of significance in the moment.  This presents an opportunity to reflect; take note; and see what awareness occurs; now or later.
o  The experience can be subtle, dramatic, or tragic.

Faith:   Acceptance/Gratitude
o  A faith discipline and/or faith belief system can be quite helpful in coping with the emotions related to challenging experiences. Through faith, self care, emotional release, and acceptance  See: Chapter A: Healing Change Activators , comes the opportunity for learning and healing change.
o  Another aspect of faith is accepting the experience as a real event; the experience has meaning, and there is potential learning and healing change.
o  Be aware of the tendency to: deny the experience; blame someone; block the experience from memory, or avoid reflecting on the experience.
o  Allow yourself, the full spectrum: “Dependency to Responsibility”. When we feel dependant, vulnerable, or hurt; we need faith. When we are open, feel strong, or are yearning for change; we tend to feel more responsible. As we permit more responsibility, there is an increased ability to learn from life.

Learn:   Awareness
o  Something pops up; it reveals itself in our consciousness. Usually this awareness exists in a picture, past event, vision or symbol. This is non-mental learning or awareness; a metaphor would be “soul/self communication”. Intuition then becomes an aspect of the learning process.

Heal:   Magic/Grace/ Mystery
o  An indication of healing is a sense of letting go; perhaps a softening of frozen moments (past events) in time. There is a sense of release, loosening, freedom; and a greater sense of inner/outer connectedness.

Change:   Attitude/Perspective/Behavior/Intention/Action
o  Many times change requires no action. One may respond to situations differently. New life situations may occur. Additionally there may be a greater sense of integration, unification and synthesis.
